Free Pass was under restraint for the first half, took command when called on and came away without much effort in the stretch run. John Bull got caught in a jam at the start, but wore his field down, finished fast and outgamed Mary Moore in the final drive. Lindsey rode a good race on the latter and saved ground at the stretch turn, but she tired when it came to a drive. Limelight and Alene Abbott tired when the pinch came. The latter ran well, but tired after getting to the leader. Alpaca was driving to the limit all of the last furlong. She came wide at the turn into the homestretch and just managed to last long enough to finish third. Nyx- finished fast and would have been third in another stride. Henry McDaniel showed the most early speed and opened up a gap before the others got to running well, but tired in the" last sixteenth. Handspinner was crowded back at the first turn and closed a big gap after coming wide at the turn into the homestretch, finished fast and was gaining on the leaders at every stride at the end. Ernest Par-ham saved ground at the turn into the homestretch and hung on gamely under a hard drive, just managing to last long enough to beat out Andes. The latter was outrun for the first half and came wide into the homestretch, but finished fast and would have been second in another stride. Clorita tired badly at the end.
