Aunt Polly was skillfully ridden, ran a good race and is improving. The Miller was crowded at the start and went hopelessly wide on the stretch turn and was running faster than the leaders at the end. Estado closed a gap from a poor start. Mike Murphy tired badly and looks light and drawn. Katherine Ennis ran as if short, seemed like the winner in the stretch and quit in the last furlong. Aloha II. ran a bad race. Water Cure was apparently not extended for the first six furlongs, and after waiting on the pacemakers unexpectedly failed to make good when called on in the last quarter and is in poor form. Away badly he steadily improved his position, came through next to the rail in the last quarter and outstayed the others after a long drive. Trov was lucky at the start and had clear sailing, was a prominent contender throughout, but was tiring at the end. Amasa made the running throughout and under a vigorous ride held on well. Flush of Gold displayed sudden return to form, led throughout and decisively outraced and outstayed her field and was much the best. Grail was lucky and vigorously ridden and closed up strongly in the final drive. Horton, always under pressure to keep within striking distance of the leaders, failed to put up his usual brilliant stretch run, although he was steadily wearing the others down at the end. Leader was badly ridden and was bearing out on all turns and tiring badly in the last quarter. Position was sent along from the start, which proved suicidal. Antolee was never a serious contender. Ethylene outclassed the field, broke running and spreadeagled her field and showed high-class form, the race being the fastest of the season from a time standpoint. The track is slower than heretofore. Hainault continues to show his genuinely improved form. Away poorly, he made up ground steadily in spite of the terrific pace and finished like a whirlwind. Lady Kent, which had trailed, came with a rush at the end and caught the others tiring. Mexi-cana followed the -winners pace closely and held on gamely in the final drive. Although very unruly in the first part of the race he was reserved for seven furlongs and when called on in the stretch flashed through next to the rail and won going away. Autolight indulged the pacemaker to the stretch, and after being carried wide on the turn with great difficulty wore him down in the last furlong and ran a bad race. Mission ran in surprisingly improved form, forced the pace for the first mile and put up a game stretch run. Greyfeld trailed the field hard held for half the journey and fell awav beaten after a fast move on the far turn. Beana ran a poor race.
