Memphian was much the best and practically cantered for the entire trip and was never fully extended. Ecome came with a rush through the last furlong and ran a good race. Mclnerny never made a move on him. Class Leader saved ground at the turn into the homestretch, finished fast and outgamed Domsie when it came to a hard drive. Rococo tired and was eased up when beaten. Overweights Domsie, 1 pound; Hattie Davis, 1. Memphian, show, out. Ecome, show, 7 to 10. Class Leader, show, 4 to 5. - SECOND RACE 3-4 Mile. Autumn Leaves was well ridden, Wonderly laid back of the leaders for the first half with her, came through on the inside at the turn into the homestretch, caught Golden Rule tiring and was going away at the end. Golden Rule ran well, but was used up in chasing Skilful. The latter ran a good race to the stretch only. It was a three-horse race all the way and the others were outclassed. Viona broke well in motion and ran away from the field while rounding the far turn and the race should improve her. Esherson ran a fairly good race, but was tiring at the end. Rightful went to the front with a rush while rounding the far turn and easily increased his lead in the stretch run. Pericles made up ground and finished fast. The Don showed early speed, but was used up setting the pace. Witfull was outrun for the first six furlongs and came with a rush in the stretch run, but Hall let go her head and she swerved over to the inside fence shutting off The Don and Flocarline. Suburban Queen ran disappointingly. Flaneur showed the most early speed, but tired when hard pressed. Gin Spray could not go the pace and was probably short.
