Petra H. is a consistent and game Ally, stood a drive to dispose of Double Six and had enough left at the end to stall off Clorita. The latter was in next to the rail to the last furlong and did not get through in time and should have won. Andrattus finished fast. Double Six was plainly short, but held on well at the end and would have been third with a strong finish. Oclawaha received a poor start. Neither One is high in flesh and ran well for nearly five furlongs. Shaw saved ground with him all the way and came fast on the stretch turn and the colt was only cantering at the end. Contentious was driving on the stretch turn to hold her position out, was second best. Interlude got off flying and is very speedy, but does not seem able to stay and tired at the end. Start bad. Won driving; second easily. Lord Advocate received the benefit of a hustling ride and that won for him. Gannon put up a strcng finish and the colt outgained Brisk at the finish. Brisk showed much speed and hung on well under a drive. The Talisman ran well, but was tiring at the end. Cherubim finished fast and would have been third in a few more strides. There was a lot of crowding and interference when Mark Cheek fell and Paul Clifford suffered most. The last five at the start did not have a chance. Overweights — Farcraft, 2 pounds; Harrison, 1.
