Won driving; second the same. Foresight came with a rush at the end and just got up in time to nip Freckman. The latter ran a good race and stood a long stretch drive gamely. Requiter closed up ground rapidly in the last quarter and finished going fast. George R. Harrison was given a weak ride, but finished fast after being cut off in the last hundred yards. Preakness tired rapidly when the pinch came. Bill Waters stumbled and fell in the first quarter, Ed Guinzburg falling over him. L. Volentine ran away two and one-half miles to a false break. Martinmas showed much speed throughout and easily withstood Floral Wreaths determined challenge in the last sixteenth. The latter ran a good race, but tired somewhat when the pinch came. Marlin finished going fast. Alfio made up much ground in the. final quarter. Bay Wonder was well beaten when turning for home. Sarah Maxim was crowded out of position early and had no chance thereafter. The others were never serious contenders. Scratched— 39590=Enue, 99; 3G125 My Queen, 97. Determination showed much speed throughout and was much the best of the others. Memories ran well, but faltered when opposite the final eighth post. Maggie Leeber showed only a little early speed. Handsome Florry was well beaten just before turning for home. She was winning with apparent ease, but William became rattled when challenged in the closing strides and could not rally her quick enough. Omdurman made up ground in the last quarter and finished going fast. Montana Peeress tired when the pinch came. High Carnival came with a rush in the last sixteenth.
