Start fair for all but Wootsy Winierd. Won easily; second the same. Anne Davis, a good looker, broke with great speed, was hard held all the way and won eased up. She is probably a good filly. Wreath of Ivy began slowly, but came around the field and finished fast and resolutely. Liberty Bell ran green, but showed great improvement. Moulin Rouge broke green and showed great early speed, but quit badly after running a good half. He is a good looker and will do better. Vestry ran in close quarters to the last sixteenth. The field then opened and she shot through and won going away. Maverick was held at the post by the assistant starter, but saved ground next to the rail, came through fast in the stretch, but tired at the finish. Flash of Night was foolishly raced early with Harry Griffith and tired. Hook Se Oka ran her race. Dolly Gray went the long way and tired in the stretch. Atlas showed speed, but tired in the stretch. Maxrose snowed great improvement. Don OHigh was interfered with after the start and thrown out of the race. Scorpio was well ridden and free of early contention from the fast horses, shook off Happy Chappy and withstood Frank Bells determined challenge at the end with gameness. Frank Bell began slowly, but finished with great sped and was wearing the winner down at the end. Louis Wagner had no mishaps and ran to his form. Maltster closed up in the stretch run. but tired in the last sixteenth. Croix dOr was badly ridden and taken on the outside of his field, but closed up fast in the stretch run and as weighted was probably best. Happy Chappy showed speed, but tired. The Wizard displayed the most astonishing improvement, ran his horses to subjection m the first half mile and won cantering. Kittie Clyde ran a good race considering her stifE impost. This mare is not within many pounds of being the Kittie Clyde of last year, but is improving. Neversuch ran neck and neck with Kittie Clyde around the stable turn, but weakened under pressure. Sardian refused to break at the start and was driven away from the post. Jean De Reszke, high in flesh, showed some early speed. Scratched— 39700 Eugenia S., 101. _ The Wizard, show, 3 to 1. Charles Ramsey raced Detest into submission and, when challenged by Leenaa in the strtch, seemed beaten, but came again under a vigorous drive and won going away. Leenja did her best, but lost some ground swinging wide on the stretch turn. Josie F. ran her race. Baronet went in good form for the first six furlongs. South Breeze went to the post lame and was outrun in the first part of the race, but finished going fast. Mynheer showed speed. Scratched— 39698 Kings Pet, 95. Overweights — South Breeze, 2 pounds. .
