Cardwellton came fast through the stretch, won going away and was given the best ride. Goudy ran well and was much the best of the others. Aransas ran a fair race. So did Burlap. Start good. Won easily; second the same. Anne Davis ran as if she outclassed her field, showed the most speed always and won as her rider pleased. J. W. ONeill could never get to the pacemaker, but always held the rest safe. Tom Mankins was badly pinched at the three-eighths post and came again with great courage, but his rider failed to persevere with him at the end. Brilliants was a good horse for a half mile. Oudenarde broke on the extreme outside, ran around his field and won impressively. Deerhunter ran a good race and finished stoutly under vigorous handling Howling Dervish got off badly, was rushed through his field and made up a lot of ground but plainly quit in the stretch. Taby Tosa closed up very fast after being allowed to drop out of it m the first half. Prince Richard made up much ground in the last quarter. Found was under keen pressure all the way. She is not partial to heavy weight. Pourquoi Pas ran a bad race and can do better. Overweights — Pourquoi Pas, 2 pounds. Kaffir, show, out. Taby Tosa, show, out. Prince Richard, show, 2 to 1. Kittie Cut a Dash liked the feather on her and held on well and finished with unusual gameness, Shea giving her an excellent finish. Kittie G. ran in improved form, but was given a weak finish. Dr. Clark, as usual, began slowly, but finished fast and would have won in a few more strides. Monos ran an excellent race and will win at a longer distance presently. Ida Penzance is ready to win when she gets properly placed. Scratched— 39035 Harry Pulliam, 109. Kittie Cut a Dash, show, 2 to 1. Kittie G., show, 2 to 1. Dr. Clark, show, 1 to 2. Sweet Dream did not show her usual early speed today, was outrun in the first part of the race and came fast when it was too late. Mynheer ran to his best mark and his improvement was noticeable. Virgie d*Or quit under pressure. Buccleuth got off badly and seemed to sulk. Duela ran much below her true form. Scratched— 397522The, Messenger, 97. % Jake Weber, show, out. Sweet Dream, show, out.
