Gregor K. appeared beaten when a furlong from home, but he rallied in the final hundred yards and outstayed Beau Ormonde under a powerful ride. The latter ran a high class race and stood a long stretch drive. He showed great gameness under punishment. Bdndagc easily wore down Monarka in the final eighth. The latter tired fast when the pinch came. Glass-full met with much interference and had enough after running well for six furlongs. Esherin ran a good six furlongs. Mary Lavana showed early speed. Gibsons determined challenge in the final eighth. The latter was pinned in against the inside rail In the last eighth, but not enough to change the result. He ran to his best form and was much the best of the others. Evening Star finished going fast. Skilful swung wide when turning for home, losing ground, but rallied in the final sixteenth and finished going fast. Peter J. tired just after turning for home. The Picket ran right back to his sensational workout. He displayed the highest order of speed throughout and the result was never in doubt. He won as his rider pleased. Claude made up much ground and finished with a fine stretch rush, easily wearing down Au Revior in the final sixteenth. He was interfered with at the start by The Picket, losing some ground. Bernays ran a splendid race, making up much ground throughout and finishing with a great burst of speed. He would have been second in another stride or two. Sava-ble moved up fast when turning for home and, standing a long stretch drive in race horse fashion, finished with dogged resolution. Au Revior was a keen contender for one and three-eighths miles, but tired when the pinch came. Bad News ran at about an even rate throughout. Flocarline met with interference at the start from The Picket. She moved up some just before turning for home, but tired fast in the last quarter. Gilfain ran a cracking good race, tiring only in the final eighth. Linguist ran prominently for one and one-eighth miles and then retired. Judge Himes was never a serious contender and showed but scant speed throughout.
