Went to post at 2:30. At post 3 minutes. Start good. Won easily; second driving. Count Em Out was much the best, showed keen speed throughout and never left the result in doubt. Jaubert finished going fast when running next to the inside rail. Frivol stood a long stretch drive. Vulcain faltered in the closing strides. Urchin ran a good race and will bear watching from now on. Bard of Avon appears to be of no present account. Scratched— 39908 Hot, 103; 39881003, 101. Overweights— F. A. Off well in his stride, he at once rushed to the front and, tiptoeing the field all the way, won as his rider pleased. Geranium finished fast and was much the best of the others. Patsy Brown tired palpably in the last sixteenth. Ort Wells ran an impressive race. He was badly cut off in the first sixteenth, but rallied in the final quarter and finished with a rush. Eugenie B. was done for a when a sixteenth out. Sanctum appears to be of little present account. Pat Hammon and Esherson were crowded out of position at the start. Jack Rattlin ran a poor race. His recent long races have undoubtedly dulled his early speed. Burnie Bunton displayed a little early speed. Nickey D. ran Well for five furlongs and bears watching.
