Circus Girl was well rated, moved up around the leaders at the turn into the homestretch, finished fast and drew away at the end. Binehelio began slowly, but closed a big gap and outgamed Chanterelle when it came to the stretch drive. The latter showed the most early speed, but tii-ed. One More had a rough trip and was cut off several times, but tired when the pinch came. Choice was pinched off on the inside in the last sixteenth after running prominently to the stretch. Commodore finished resolutely and got up just in time to get second place. Harfang showed great improvement over his last race and was a con- tender all the way. Thane ran a good race. He was cut off on the I far turn and when coming on the backstretch, but finished fast and gamely. Brief got 1 third place without trouble. It was a two-horse race. Itacatiara showed improvement and ran a good race, made a determined bid on the last turn of the field, but tired when the final drive came. Sea Pirate ran his best race, was well ridden and had no mishaps. Eva Moe scraped Peters leg against the fence at the turn out of the field at the clubhouse and pulled up bleeding Falella bolted at the second jump. Red Car fell at the fifth jump. Miss Mollie ran her race and finished gamely. Woodlawn Belle was off tangled up, but finished fast when straightened out. Voila dropped out of it right after the start. Vallarambla tired. Antolee was well ridden by Bonner, was rated along behind Flaneur for the first half, moved up at the stretch turn and fought it out with Flaneur all through the last furlong. She was sore when going to the post. Flaneur outbroke his field and showed .the most early speed, but tired under pressure. Adelante was outrun in the first half, but closed a big gap and finished with a rush. Frank Mc showed speed, but lost ground at the stretch turn by turning wide and tired in the last sixteenth. Chickadee dropped out of it while rounding the far turn, but came fast in the stretch. The winner, entered to be sold for 00, was run up 00 by A. L. Ferguson, but was bid in.
