Loyal S. quickly raced into the lead, forcing the pace throughout and going the shortest way, just got home under skillful guidance. Man of Honor broke slowly, but followed the winners pace Close up, went wide when turning for home and closed up with a great rush. Egg Nogg, away badly and poorly ridden, steadily improved his position and finished like a cyclone on the extreme outside and was best. Leash showed a lot of speed, running lapped on the winner for five furlongs and finished gamely. Adirondack, capable of better things, fell away after a brief display of speed. Won driving; second easily. Ananias got away in the rear division, but a superior burst of speed carried him to Harbor the far turn and he outstayed the latter in a long drive home. Harbor, probably short, broke in his stride and led his field tG the stretch, where he succumbed after a game effort. Instrument, shuffled back in the early running, came along on the outside in the closing drive, going fast. Abydos broke flatfooted and was rushed up on terms in the first quarter and. running in close quarters on the outside around the turns, held on well to the end. Neko made up ground from a bad start. Mee-hanus, suddenly improved, held his own in the early running, moving up fast when turning for home and finishing on the inside with a meteoric rush at the end. Blue Miracle rapidly improved his position in the early running and, after being carried wide on the stretch turn, came along at the finish with a rush and is a much improved colt. Tower of Candles got away flatfooted and a trying effort to get up and outrun Father Wentker, combined with A wide stretch turn, beat her. Aunt Polly, an improved mare, got away badly and improved her position throughout. Father Wentker got away in his stride and forced a terrific pace for five furlongs, tiring badly at the end. Scott was skillfully reserved to the stretch, finished like a cyclone and won going away, is very fit and in greatly improved form. Money Muss, favored at the start, made the running to midway of the stretch, tiring badly in the last furlong. Hagerdon closed a big gap from a bad start and ran a great race. Burnie Bunton began slowly and, after losing a lot of ground in the early running, finished running fastest of all in the stretch. Gibraltar showed surprisingly good form. Iredeus, palpably short, was a contender when the field straightened for home, is a grand looker and finished eased up. Sad Sam was short and was bearing out on the turn. Dupont indulged the pacemaker to the stretch, where he drew to the front cantering, was much the best and is a vastly improved horse. Erne ran well up throughout and was closing up very fast at the end. Dodie S. unexpectedly failed in the stretch run and was probably short. Veterano made up a lot of ground in the last half and finished a good fourth. Blessed Damozel showed speed. Position got away poorly and made a good stretch run. EI Rio Shannon ran a very bad race. Won easily; second the same, Warte Nicht is in rare form, was skillfully reserved close up in the early running, ran into the lead like a flash on the stretch turn and held his own without much effort to the end. Beau Ormonde forced the pace to the stretch, where he went wide, giving the winner a distinct advantage which he could never overcome, but ran a game race. Bragg showed a lot of speed, but ran unkindly, finishing a fast going third, however, and is good. Dainty was caught in the barrier at the start, getting away badly, but closed up -quickly and, never far away, held on throughout in game fashion. No show betting.
