Almanzor showed the most speed and fenced in good fashion, was under a pull most of the way, but was all out and doing his best at the end. Simon Kenton will improve over this effort, is a good jumper and was a sharp contender all the way, but the journey was probably a trifle far for him. He stumbled two jumps from home and lost some ground. Mor-rellton Chief bumped Montrip at the turn into the stretch and was disqualified. Gypsic closed a big gap after beginning slowly. Graziallo went up fast in the first furlong and showed plenty of speed, raced Tokalon into submission and drew away in the stretch when shook up. Tokalon showed speed and held on gamely at the end, although tiring fast, was probably short as she tired when she struck the stretcli turn. Alforten got off none too well, but he went up to the others quickly, but tired in the last furlong under a drive. Silver Dream was slowly gaining at the end under punishment. Peter Paul did not show the speed he displayed when last out. Harangue was crowded back at the start. Julia M. quit as usual. Sweet Alice saved ground all the way and worked her way to the front :in the final sixteenth, but tired near the finish. Buttons was weakly handled in the stretch run when he appeared the probable winner and was on the outside and. under the whip in the run through the stretch.
