Geld Dome ran a good racp, aided by his light weight, was prominent to the stretch, where he wore Andrattus aown under a drive and was holding his own at the end. Reveille made up a lot of ground by hugging the rail and came fast in the final sixteenth, only to tire in the final strides. Andrattus could not quite last, but his race was a good one. The Guardsman, practically left at the post, would have been a keen contender with an even break. Pleasant Memories showed improvement. Tax Man and Ithan tired in the final furlong. Lady Mirthful took the lead quickly, showed the most speed throughout and won easing up. Huapala came fast in the stretch and was eased up in the last few strides. Cantaloupe showed speed, but tired and was doing her best to stall off Belle of Belle Meade. The latter could not get clear in time in the stretch and was eased up in the last few strides. The latter closed up fast in the stretch and appeared the winner when a furlong from home, but tired in the last hundred yards under the whip., Cloten, a good colt, showed speed, ran a good race and finished fast. Sweet Alice was a sharp contender to the final furlong, when she tired, but hung on well. Toscan was outrun all the way. Illyrias race was a poor one. Stolen Moments has gone back. Courtmaid was used up in the early racing and tired when it came down to the final drive. Scortic was crowded on the backstretch. Stonewall ran a bad race.
