Over Again was outfooted for the first half mile, but came through next to the inside rail at the turn into the homestretch and wore the leaders down. He took a tired swerve in the last twenty yards, but managed to last long enough to stall off Sid Silver. The latter showed the most early speed, raced The Pride of Surrey into submission in the first half, came again at the end and would have won in two more strides. Mollie T. tired after rac-ing up to the leaders around the far turn. Alfio sulked and would never extend himself. Scratched 43001 Kabyle, 109. Over Again, show, 4 to 5. Sid Silver, show, 1 to 2. Little Jack Horner was off well in motion, raced to the front in the first sixteenth and was never headed, but Fisher had to ride him hard at the end to stall off a challenge from Ivernia The latter began slowly, but made up a lot of ground and was catching the winner at every stride. Eva Russell was probably short. She showed speed, but tired in the last fifty yards. Amorous finished fast. Gus Lanka was used up in chasing Little Jack Horner and tired when the final struggle came. Tommy Foster was left at the post, but made up nearly twenty lengths and was up with the leaders at the turn into the homestretch. Lev Dorsey was off well in motion, carried Royal Pirate along at a fast clip for the first half until the latter quit, was never in trouble and came away as his rider pleased in the stretch run. Lampoon had to go around the leaders to get up, closed up a lot of ground . and outgamed Mauser at the end. Mauser was under restraint until well around the far turn, but tired when Rutter called on him. Ascension, under restraint in the early stages of the race, went around the leaders at the turn into the homestretch, came fast through the final furlong and got up in the last stride Maltster and Frank Bell were used up in setting the pace. They fought it out hard ali - through the last quarter and Maltster lasted longest. Frank Bell did his best and only tired in the last ten yards. Mrs. Frank Foster was going the fastest of all at the end and j would have won in another ten yards The field ran in close order all the way. Scratched 43097Morning Star, 91. Ascension, show, 2 to 5. Went to post at 4:10. At post 3 minutes. Start good. Won easily; second driving. Charley Thompson ran as if he outclassed his field, showed the most speed all the way and was never fully extended. Attila Is a slow beginner, rated along in the middle of the field5 until rounding the turn out of the backstretch, when he moved up and wore Jack Doyie down and outgamed The Bobby when it came to the final drive. The Bobby was kept out of it until the race was practically over, came very fast after skinning the rail at the turn into the homestretch and got third place in the last stride. Jack Doyle ran well throughout. Medal tired in the last quarter. Scratched 131013Airlight, 104; 431012Adelante, 102. Attila, show, 2j to 1. The Bobby, show, 4 to 5. Agnes Brennan made a show of the field, went to the front with a rush and was never in trouble. Mordella ran a good race and was as easily the best of the others. Sextette out-gamed Katie Powers when it came to the final drive. Katie Powers began slowly and closed up a lot of ground while rounding the far turn, but tired in the last twenty vards.
