Hands Across was lucky at the start in getting off with the leaders, raced Carraher and Reckoner into submission in the first half and had enough in reserve at the end to stall off a challenge from Badger. The" latter was crowded back at the start and was in a pocket until on the turn out of the backstretch, but finished fast and was wearing the winner down at the end. Anti Trust was outfooted all the way and met with no mishaps. Peeper made up ground m the last quarter. Burning Glass was given an easy ride. Russell Garth got away tangled up. ! Won easily: second driving. ; oxy Kane broke from the outside and was outrun for the first half, but Treubel rode a patient race, came through on the outside in the last furlong, and finishing fast, was drawing away from his field in the last sixteenth. Floyd K. began slowly, but made up a lot of ground and finished with a rush. He will do better over a longer route. Van Ness tired after racing up to the leaders at the turn into the homestretch. Little Jack Horner outbroke his field, raced Escalera into submission in the first half and drew away with a rush in the stretch. Sea Shark saved ground at the turn into the homestretch and, finishing on the inside, came very fast in the last furlong and outeamed Demurrer. Demurrer was outrun all the way, but about ran his race. Escalera and Bountiful showed speed, but tired. Allyar was sore when going to the post. Little Jack Horner, show, 1 to 2. Lev Dorsey proved the gamer and got his nose in front in the last couple of strides. Dan McKenna showed the most early speed and set the pace undnr restraint. Huzzah closed up fast while rounding the far turn, but tired after gettlnir tA the leader and swerved over to the inside in the last twenty yards. Mauser finished fast on r the extreme outside. Won easily; second the same. Siddons ran under restraint for the first mile, then moved up to Trocadero while rounding the far turn, took the lead quickly and was only cantering at the end. Little Elkin was on the outside for the entire trip and outstayed Trocadero and Adelante in the stretch strugglp. Trocadero was going easy when he bolted over to the inside at the furlong post and this probably beat him for second place. Adelante tired and quit in the last quarter. Siddons, show, out. King Croker began slowly and had to go all around his field to get up, then caught the leaders tiring at the end, but had to be hard ridden to stall off Myron Dale. The latter closed a big gap and finished fast. Mordella was much used up racing with Agnes Brennan and Glenfio in the first part of the race, saved ground at the turn into the homestretch, but tired when the final drive came. Agnes Brennan tired and quit in the last furlong. Julia Junkin was outrun all the way and was sore when going to the post. Glenfio showed early speed, but tired after going a half.
