I.urene ran in close attendance on Amasa to the stretch and wore him down in a strong finish Amasa, a quick breaker, got away in his stride and made the most of his advantage leading to the final eighth, where he tired badly. Illilouon got away slowly and was quickly shuffled back to the rear and then steadily closed up and at the end was Running faster than the leaders. Hellas held a forward position throughout and is about due. Goddess of Night will improve on this showing and was a prominent contender throughout. Oro Rose is rounding to and will make good at an early day, displayed brilliant and unexpected speed for five furlongs, tiring badly right at the end. Miss Ringlets finished with a tremendous rush and would have been third in another stride Ethel Abbott closed a big gap from a bad start. Lady Fonse finished well. Gottlieben failed to stay. Aunt Polly found the cuppy track tirinc -md after forcing the pace from the start, succumbed in the last hundred yards and may have been short. Elfin King finished fast through the stretch and ran a good race. Quiet wal knocked out of the race directly after the start and closed a big gap in the last "hah? Rusti?
