Komombo broke from the outside, rushed to the front quickly and opened up a winning lead before the others got to going well and was only cantering at the end. Trossachs was hard ridden for the entire trip and closed a big gap, but tired when the pinch came. Docile began slowly, but closed a big gap and outgamed Second Sight in the final drive. Tribes Hill won as if he outclassed his field, got caught in a jam at the first turn and was crowded back to last place, then had to go to the etxreme outside to get up, overtook the field in the run down the backstretch and moved up to the leaders while rounding the far turn, took command at the furlong post and came away under lestraint at the end. Noweta raced Locket into submission in the first half and outgamed Major Mansir in the closing drive. The latter began slowly, but closed a big gap and finished fast. Boaster was messed about all the way and did not run his race. Sabot quit when it came to a drive. Scratched 43266 Potente, 99; 43304 Rankin, 93. Louis Kraft began slowly and Munro waited until nearing the far turn before making his run, then moved up to St. Jolly and raced the latter into submission before the homestretch was reached and came away without much effort in the last furlong. Short Cake showed early speed and fell back, then came again at the end and outstayed St. Jolly. St. Jolly showed speed and decided improvement. Establish ran a fair race and is worth remembering. Montebank did not run His-raoe; .Fischer took Mnv back at the five-eighths post and then went to the extreme outside, losing a lot of ground at the turn into the homestretch. Phillips got her off well and then took her back, avoiding , the early pace, moved up on the extreme outside at the turn into the homestretch, came fast through the stretch and was only cantering at the end. Burning Glass closed a big gap and finished fast and resolutely. Decoration also made up much ground and finished gamely. John Coulter ran in much improved form. Peeper showed early speed, but was used up in racing Ponca into submission. The latter tired in the last furlong and was eased up at the end. Scratched 43303Tioga, 105; 43288 Jove, 99. Sailing took him back in the run down the backstretch and avoided the fast early pace, moved up while rounding the far turn and raced Sadducee into submission and had enough in reserve at the end to stall off a challenge from Hands Across. The latter ran in improved form and finished fast. Charley Thompson saved ground at the turn into the homestretch and made a determined effort at the furlong post, but tired near the end. Our Nugget finished gamely and ran an excellent race. Sadducee ran a fast half, but tired badly in the stretch.
