Cardwelltons closing price, Saturday, was 10 to 1 and 4 to 1. H. H., Chicago. Did not secure quotations desired for that afternoon. Smith, Memphis, Tenn. Show odds, Esca-lera, Dec. 22, was 4 to 5. L. C, Cincinnati, O. B. J. S. lost his bet. He should have backed the entry. L. A. K., Toronto, Ont. The horse Max-etta that started at Oakland, Nov. 23, had not before started over a recognized track and you are entitled to your money back.
