Rulloba, away In a tangle and suffering ftom interference in the first half, moved up steadily under a good ride and, saving much ground when turning Into the stretch, got up In the last sixteenth to win by ji narrow margin. St. Noel, also away poorly, came with a rush In the last quarter and finished going last. Inspector Girl, going wide most of the way, also came fast in the stretch, but tired slightly near the end. Helgerson, showing suddenly improved, .form and well handled, forced a fast pace from the start and, gamely standing a hard drive for a furlong before taking the lead, won well in hand. Field Lark closed a big gap from a poor beginning and finished with a rush. Toppy Girl quit after show- ing the most speed for the first half. Adbeil, away with his customary slowness, ran a good race. King Pepper ran poorly. Agnes Virginia was a sufferer from interference. Nuns Veiling can do much better. The latter ran a good race and will show improvement. Gauze had no mishaps.
