THE ARROWED TO STAND AT MIDWAY. Tin- Arrowed, the six year-old black horse by GaUnnle --Little May. is on his way from New Brunswick to stand at the farm of J. V. Shipp, near Midway. Ky. The Arrowed made his first start as a twoyear-ohl at the Haydoek Dark July meeting in lito:;, with Lucien Lyne as his pilot, and won the July Dlate. He won one other race as a three-year-old. He was several times second In fair company. He was sent over the hurdles and won and likewise won a steeplechase. He waa raced as the property of Mr. S. M. Nolan, his breeder, who on December ." last at Newmarket, sent him into the sale ring. The only bid made was |508 by a Mr. Dale and he was knocked down for that. Mr. Dale, ii is presumed, lives at St. Johns, New Brunswick, for that is where Mr. Shipp has gone to get the horse. Dispatches from Lexington do not say whether Mr. Shipp bought The Arrowed from Mr. Dale or whether he is to stand in Kentucky under sonic arrangement with that gentleman. The AiTowed is "bred well enough, but lor some reason he was not fancied at the Newmarket sales. His sire. Galliuule. is the sire of Cicero, the Derby, winner, and Lia dam, Little May, is by.
