JERSEY LADY WINS THE ASCOT OAKS, Milshora, the Favorite, Finishes Second — Good Card and Excitinq Contests. Los Angaries, Cal.. February 2. — The card at Ascot Park today was one of the best of the meeting and the racing was exciting. The Ascot Oaks brought thirteen of the best fillies here to the post, the winner turning up in Jersey Lady, which lasted long enough to withstand the challenge of Milshora, the favorite. The stake was worth ,250 net to the winner. The heavy h sses sustained by the books yesterday was apparent in todays cut-in, only eighteen answer lug the roll cill. The pemilers fared better, making it about upstieks on the afternoons speculation. The fourth race for Monday is virtually a Derby preliminary.
