UNSATISFACTORY RACING AT ASCOT. Josies Jewel Shocks the Talent and Judqes Investiqate Theo Cases Running. Los Angeles, a!.. February IX— The card today was made up entirely of sidling races, bringing the worst of horses here to the post. Natnrally there was little enthusiasm. Josies Jewel shocked the talent by easily takini: the second race from a field of spt inlets. Tie fourth race was marred by the miserable showing made by Tluo Case, tneom-peteatty ridden by A. Wright. Judge Hamilton did not like the race and had the Jockey and the owner till ill the stand for an explanation. He has the case under advisement, but as the horse is in pool-condition and somewhat stiff and sore there will likely be no action taken. Expedient cut one of bis tendons in his last race and may never be sent to the post again.
