February 12.— Clomiligh. ridden by Walter Miller, won the handicap at sis furlongs today. The jockeys skill worked a marvelous improvement on the aotorioasly htcoaslsteBl mare. The actual running of this race was farcical in the extreme. Martinmas. P.lagg and ToeobtW were all victims of unskillful Joefeej ship. The litst named did not appear to be seriously extended at any stage of the journey. Miller finished second on Wool Sandals in the last race, after beiag unplaced on Can-tain I.urnett. pc.ssibly the worst tacCC lie ever rode in his whole career. Two thirds of the card, which was ,,f average quality, wiis monopolized by outsiders, only two lukewarm favorites Iteing successful. Adeaa in the lirst and Nlgrette in the fifth, A. Brow* put up a brilliant exhibition en the former. Jockey* Graham and W. Kelly were each mis p ended for three days by the starter for misbehavior at the post on Kokoaao and Black ITince respectively. After the final declarations, fourteen boraes remain in the Family Handicap. They are: LogMtUla, Rapid Water. Pasty -Miller. Dr. Leggo, Chuaor, Yoladay. Sir Edward, .1. 1". Donohue. Tartan. V. II. Carey, Nealon. Tearaceo, John Lyle and Rubric.
