NO LICENSE FOR JAMESTOWN. New York, February- 22. — The stewards of the Jockey Club have refused a license for a meeting ng proposed to be held in connection with the .Taim-s-town es- i:position. The action was taken in the form ,,,, of a resolution as follows: ■ Kesohed. That the conditions which are in in separable from a race ateeting ai .lamestow u. Va.. a are of such a nature that the stewards of the Jockey-Club " reluctantly decide that they cannot grant the the license applied for. There is a very strict law in Virginia against nst racing, made a few years ago to slanip out outlaw law racing, in the state, and this undoubtedly had something m _ to do with the adverse decision.
