NO DRY TRACK FORM. "The present race meeting at Oakland has been remarkably free tram scandal, which is a matter of congratulation." says the San Francisco Chronicle. "There have been many reversals of form, but many could lie traced to legitimate causes. The failure of the favorites to win the average pie portion has heen due to changed track conditions. Unless we go back to the old days of the Bay District track, this has been the banner leassa for mud. A fast track has been a m.vtlty. and although the present meeting is two-thirds over, there is no established dry-track form. Upsets have been the most numerous over holding or heavy tracks. Form is invariably at a discount on a sticky track, and speculators should go slow on such occasions.
