They are Selectus, by Voter -Helltie-hl II.. and Se-poy. by St. Leonards Nautili iirl. Selectus is a half-brother to Mirabel. Hocus Pens, Gloria Mtuicii. Cheeraeasaer and Sangerbuml. Sepoy is the second foal of Naittc-h oil, but her tirst to race. Nautili 8M was bred by Mr. Keene and as a two year-old in 1S!I7 she carried his colors in one- race, ai Morris Dark, and WOa it. She was not laeeel a-- a three -yeat -old. but won three times out of eleven starts as a four year-old. This ended her career on the turf. She- was bri-d to Ben Brush in the spring of 1JOI and the following December was sent to England. No foal resulted from this mating and in BMW she was sent to the court of Merman in England and in IMS dropped a chestnut colt which was named Sea Seriient aud was brought to the tinted States at the foot of his daui in the fall of IMS, after she had been covered by St. lruseiuin.
