LATONIA RAISES PRICE OF BADGES. Follows the Lead of New Orleans and Louis- i viile — Jake Holtman to Start. Cincinnati. O.. April S3.— The admission fee for the coining meeting at l.atonia. which is to open June 1«». will Be raised la SI."." for men and #1 lor women. Hie same tariff was in force at New Orleans all winter, and will go at Louisville when Churchill Downs opens May li. It was almost a ton-gone conclusion that if the Louisville track increased its admission fee thai l.atonia would etc the same, but no positive statement was given out by the latter association until yesterday, when Harvey Myers, the attorney for the track and one of the executive commillee of the l.atonia Jockey lob. said that the same admission would go at l.atonia as at Louisville. Mr. Myers a No stated that Jake Uoltman would tie the starter depending on the arrangements made between him and Kiehard Dwyer. *T see that Dwyer is going to finish out the season on the coast." said Mr. Myers. "Well, if he does that Holtman will be at Latouia. That is tlie understanding. As to tlie other officials that has not been taken up. but 1 presume the same men that officiate at Louisville will be at Cincinnati." Superintendent Keegan is a busy man these days getting the track in shaiie for the meeting. He lias been greatly handicapped thus tar by wet weather.
