Gracious Dame, away fast and hard ridden throughout, took the lead after going a quarter and, standing a hard drive gamely through the last sixteenth, just lasted long enough. Margaret Randolph, showing Improved form under skillful riding, was going gamely at the end and wearing the leader down. Evelyn S. ran fairly well, but was tiring at the end. Thebais closed a gap and was gaining at the finish. Moscow Belle had scant chance with the poor ride she was given and probably was best. The others were-b.idlv outrun. Camille, favored by the going, closed a big gap gradually after going a half and, wearing down the leaders In the stretch, won drawing away. Dr. Spruiil. favored at the start and clear of interference, showed much sneed, was always in the front division and ran a good race. Bonehrake showed the most early speed, but tired after going three-quarters. Calabash had no mishaps and was not good enough. Demo bad a rough trip in the early stages and finished going fast. Early Boy ran fairly well. Floss S. closed a big gap. Sponge Cake and Plaud were away too poorly to cut much figure. The winner was entered lor 00; no hid. Scratched G9G2S2Minos, 93. Harpoon was a sharp factor all the way and outgamed Wedgwood in the closing drive. Wedgwood broke in a tangle and was caught in a jam on the first turn, hut closed a gap and would have been second but for the interference in the stretcli by Harpoon. Don Irent ran fairly well. Gold Bell quit after going a half. Incubator closed a big gap. The winner was enfered for 00; no bid. Overweights Harpoon, 4 pounds; Wedgwood, 3;Monocliord, 3; Casperdine, 4; Gold Bell, 2. Zinfandel showed the most speed nearly all the way, but tired slightly at the end. Stoner Hill ran a good race and forced the early running, but tired after going three-quarters.
