ELLISON PAYS 00 FOR SECOND CALL. New York, July lit. C. R. Kllison gave jockey Radtke $."O0 iu the paddock just before the fourth race as a retainer for second call on his services until September 11, next. The price paid by Messrs. Hitchcock and Madden for first call was ,500. The owner of Yankee Girl, when asked as to his riding instructions to Walter Miller in the Queen Stakes yesterday, replied: "I told him lo ride her to suit himself," milling "I never hamper :i jockey like Miller with orders.
