Uncle decisively outbroke and outstayed his opponents and almost cantered in front throughout. Jubilee, :.way well on the outside, closed up steadily into a fast going second. Woodbine, away to advantage, maintained nearest and strenuous pursuit of the winner, but tired finally and unexpectedly at the end. Black Oak was well up to the last turn, when he was pocketed, but finished well when with clear sailing In the stretch. Dead Gone ran prominently to the stretch, but went wide and quit finally. Rolando, after running away before the race, displayed superior speed and held on remarkably well. Falcada got off very badly and only cantered the journey. Scratched 70051 Win. II. Von Tronip broke poorly on the outside and closed up rapidly into close and unavailing pursuit of tlie winner. Workniaid. from a lucky start, was in close attendance on the pacemaker throughout and would have been second but for interference on the turn and at the end ami is extra good. Chief Hayes, away badly, closed an immense gap in the middle quarter, was linally pocketed in the stretch and was easily second best. El Cazador, nearly left, closed an immense gap. Eudora was gaining in the last half.. Samuel II. Harris also finished well. Molcsey ran as if sulking. The winner was entered for ; no bid. Ben Ban ran close up from the start, caught and passed Rosebcn on tlie last turn and came away with comparative ease in the stretch. Rosobcn set the pace closely attended by Halifax, but tired at the end of a half mile, then came again and finished a game second. Red River, always within striking di; lance in the early running, was a fast coming third. Halifax ran lappeil on the favorite for three furlongs and then dropped back, but finished unexpectedly well. Comedienne was seemingly outpaced for tin- lir.it half, but made little impression in tlie stretch. Wardine finished well irp. Gentian was not very far away. Lady Anne was prominent for a half, but ran a very bad race. . Suffrage, under a hard pull, was reserved in close attendance on the winner, was linally :;ur-rounded tn the last turn and failed to come on when called upon and was givenan injudiciou: ride, Don Diego ran forwardly for six furlongs and tired as if short.
