J. S. HAWKINS BUYS OVELANDO. Lexington, Ky., October 2S. Martin Doyle has sold Ovelando, the fine three-year-old bay colt by Orlando Sister, by King Alpbonse, to J. S. Hawkins for .?3,oOO. This sale makes the sixth of the produce of Doyles famous broodmare, now barren at the age ot twenty-seven years, to be sold for an amount aggregating .1,050. The others were: Sister Mary, 7,000; Debar, !?S,000; King Charlie. ,200: Gorey, 00. and Loretta Burke, 00. Sister Mary was sold by Mr. Doyle after she had won .4,000 for him, while Debar was sold before he ever raced. King Charlie. Gorey and Loretta Burke were all sold when yearlings. The last foal of Sister is Oraveto, a promising yearling now at tho farm near Paris. Ky., and is by Orlando. Oraveto is a probable entry to the Derby at Louisville in 1909.
