HIGH PRAISE FOR ROWE. . Naturally James R. ICeene thinks pretty well of Jimmy Rowe, and is credited with saying recently: "I believe I have the best trainer in the country. James Rowos skill, patience and judgment with my horses liave been remarkable, and he has made a record to be proud of. I never saw him ride, but lie was a first-class jockey in his day, and that is generally a good school for a trainer. Rowe studies each horse as a schoolmaster does a pupil, noting his or her characteristics and peculiarities. He says Colin is one of the most level-lieaded, I sensible- colts lie ever trained, and he ought to know."
