Uncle Sam, from a Mridin" start maintained nearest pursuit of the winner throughout and was a game second. San Gil, iwav poorly closed a big gap and just failed to get up for second place. Wap suffered seriously at the start hut closed up rapidly and loomed up on the last turn, then tired finally. Silberschwanz showed moderate early speed and probably was short. Creston Boy broke slowly, but forged into the lead on the Inside and held sway on sufferance for three and a half furlongs, then stuck to his work gamely in the closing drive. Koenigin I.uife, away badly, closed an immense gap in a cracking effort. Belle Kinney was well up all the way. Titus II. was never dangerous and can do much better. E. M. Treasure Seeker, a slow beginner and virtually left, trailed a hopeless last and closed an immense gap in the last half under a had ride. Gannet ran forwardly from the start, held on very gamely at the end and is promising. Aaughan set the pace for six furlongs and tired. Surety followed the leaders closely for six furlongs, then tired, but looks good. Maud Muller was fast for five furlongs. Silver Stocking set the pace to the final sixteenth before succumbing and was a game second. Rapid Water, badly outpaced early, finished with a tremendous rush and is becoming good. Pal ran forwardly from the start, but went wide on the last turn. Magazine, after being reserved, in close attendance on the leaders, was carried out on the stretch turn and sharply shut off farther on, then finished going like a shot, but could not get up. AVon easily; second driving; third easily. Molesey passed Red Leaf at the half, but momentarily relinquished his advantage on the last turn, then drew out again in the stretch, winning comfortably. Red Leaf outbroke the others and showed the way for three furlongs, then dropped back and loomed up again on the last turn, but bolted and swerved to the inside and lost out under a bad ride. Legatee dropped back early and trailed for the first three-quarters and closed up rapidly at the end. Fisher Boy, after early prominence, failed to stay, but ran a good race. Burning Bush drew out quickly and set the pace to midway of the stretch, but succumbed finally and finished 11 game second. Arklirta, away badly and having a rough journey under a timid ride, closed an immense gap in a cyclonic stretch rush and is in grand form. Rather Royal, shuffled back and outpaced early, tinislied well. Dollie Dollars, away very badly, made up much ground. Combury showed brilliant speed, hut tired and was short.
