Achieve, off badlv. came through with a great rush in the closing strides, nipping out May Dieudonne. The latter showed the most early speed, but tired badly at the end. Black Mate set a fast pace for three-quarters and tired only in the last hundred yards. Niblick followed the leader closely to the stretch, then quit badly. Ed Ball and Caniquc can do inueh better. The latter closed a gap and, in a long stretch drive, finished fast and gamely. Basil also made up ground and. finishing with a rush, nipped out Dr. Crook for third place. The latter fallowed the winner closely to the stretch and tired in the final drive. Reuben closed a big gap into a fast going fifth.
