Netting, away badly in the inside deep going, closed a big gup iu a cracking effort. Dr. Sherman quickly dropi»ed rearward, then closed up steadily in the last half. Swagger, badly outpaced for the first half, finished gaining fast. Dangerous Garl showed early speed. La Rose. .1 forward contender throughout, drew out like the winner in the stretch, but succumbed in the final stride. Marvel P. tired finally after strenuous and close contention from the start. Tawasentha. from a flying start, set the pace to the stretch and quit. Belle Kinney, from an inside flatfooted start, steadily im-iroved her position in the deepest going and finally tired badly under a bail ride. Meada. away badly and forced to the outside on the first turn, made up ground steadily under a bad ride. Cliolk Hodrick ran in forward and game pursuit of the winner for seven furlongs and tired. Miss May Bowdish had scant chance at the star:. U C. A kerley was prominent for seven furlongs. Silver Wedding failed to stay. Belle of Iroquois -bowed speed for six furlongs and quit badly.
