Margaret Randolph, sore aad too long reserved in the rear, will, hopelessly wide into the stretch and just failed to get iqi in a fast finish. The Mighty, well up from the start, loomed up menacingly midway of the stretch and tired iu tlie filial strides as if short. Dick Wilson forced the pace, but tired finally. Koenigin I.uise showed the way to the stretch and quit. Belle of Iroquois was anchored in the inside deep going. The winner was entered for 00; no bid. Royal Ked improved his position steadily, finished fast and is extra good. Uecchwood was crowded out on the first turn. Tonic closed a gap in the last half. Marse Abe, away fast and showing the most early speed, was sent into a slight lead from the start and stood a hard drive gamely through the stretch, but carried Irfaneh wide and bumped her several times in the last furlong, for which he was disqualified. Irfaneh, also favored at the start, ran a good race and might have won with clear sailing. Mrs. Sewall ran well throughout and had no mishaps. Hammock Boy, awry poorly, came with a good burst of speed in the last furlong and finished gaining on the leaders. laataf 11., caught in a jam at the start and in the worst going, ran a good race.
