Tony W., away fast and running in much improved form, had clear sailing all the way, followed Ted-tlington close up to the ia*t furlong, where he took the lead and held the race safe. Teddington broke last and, under a vigorous ride, held on well and ran a good race. The Slicker went well and had no mishaps. Dr. Armstrong was going gamely at the end. Won driving; second and third the same. Bell-the-iat followed close up through the first round of the course and. responding gamely to urging, outstayed Gold Circle in the final drive. The latter, much the best, was poorly ridden, ran well and should have been an easy winner. Dr. Logan showed speed and fenced well, but tired as if short. Dr. Heard will show improvement. Itacatiara ran a bad race and can do much better. Ralph Reese can also do much better. Onyx II. quit badly after going "-ver five jumps. Irrigator had no mishaps and was going- fast at the end. Tom Holland ran a bad race and can do much better. Patriot was prominent for a quarter. Fred Mulholland, away fast and favored by the going, was a dangerous contender nearly all the way and ran a good race. Luev Young showed s| eed, but tired in the stretch run and may have been short. Young Stevens ran fairly well. Priace Bowling went a good half. Dirk Rose ran a bad race. Penrhyn was alwavs outpaced. The winner was entered for 00: no bid.
