ELECTIONEER IN DOUBTFUL CONDITION. Dr. Sheppard. who went to the Brightou Beach race track the other day at the invitation of Cuius Van Ness to look over Electioneer, is in favoi of hard training for the horse. The bowed tendon and ringbone with which Electioneer is afflicted are yielding to treatment, but it is doubtful if he would stand a hard race such as the Suburban Handicap, for which he has been named. It Is more than probable that trainer Lakeland will confine Electioueers racing next season to sprinting.
