The latter, fresh and good, was always within striking distance and finished like a shot and wearing the winner down fast. Bucolic ran a fast and consistent race and beat the others off for third pla.-e. Sewell, unable to raise a respectable gallop, was beaten off and pulled up very lame. Lampadrome made the running for six furlongs, then readily succumbed to the favorite, but held on well in the closing drive. Freesias ran prominently for the first mile.
