CLUB DID ITS OWN BOOKMAKING The latest development in connection with the bookmaker question in New Zealand occurred at the recent Kawakawa meeting and probably the stand taken by the club is unique in the history of racing The committee asked the ilencilers 151 for the privilege but this was not agreed to the layers of odds offering 10 each This the club would not accept so a license to hot was issued to the secretary and as a result the club is reported to have made about 200 running the book The Bef eree Sydney
