MILT YOUNG STILL LIKES THE ANCIENTS Talking of lack Atkin Milt Young said a day or two ago I do not consider lilui as good a borso as was Koschcn and I do not class either of these with such horses as Irish Lad and Ilermls If Ilermis and Irish Lad were racing now they would make the other two look like suckers You take a good cup horse and he can beat a sprinter doing anything Why away back yonder I had a pudding with Bootjack and Beatrice Green Morris had Fellowplay and Knight Templar They were sprint ¬ ers There were days when these four horses would win a race each and we both would bet on all of them Then there would come a day occasionally when I would drop one of mine into a sixfurlong race and the other into a five and a half or seven furlong race and beat both of Greens That taught me what cup horses can do to sprinters
