KEENE TO SHIP HIS YEARLINGS TO ENGLAND ENGLANDLexington Lexington Ky June 15 James R Keene has inade up his mind to send the best of his yearlings to England He wired Major Foxhall Daingerfield from New York this afternoon to make a selection of the twenty that are in Ills judgment the best of the crop at Castleton Stud and to have them In New York not later than Friday afternoon next Major Daingerfield arranged with Garrett D Wil ¬ son to have a car In readiness for loading Thurs ¬ day morning at daylight and hurried out to Cas ¬ tleton to begin the task of inspection and selection The understanding is that the yearlings are to go on SaturdayA a steamer sailing from New York Saturday A circular letter from the FasigTipton Company to the breeders of thoroughbreds was received here today The letter advises that conditions attend ¬ ing the passage of the antigambling bills have created such a degree of uncertainness as to the market for yearlings that the company is compelled to ask tlie breeders to use their own judgment as to the advisability of selling It is further stated in the letter that the company will accept no con ¬ signments upon which the shipping bills have not been prepaid In other words any breeder deciding to sell must pay his freight in advance and assume all responsibilityThe responsibility The majority of breeders seem inclined to ship tlie yearlings east and let them go for what they can get but none of them has made up his mind defi ¬ nitely nitelyAt At Elmendorf no instructions have been received from yearlingsAt Mr Haggin as to the disposal of his yearlings At Nursery Stud manager Ed Kane Is getting ready some of the Belmont yearlings for market but will not ship until he is instructed from the office in New York
