CALIFORNIA STABLES ARE SHIPPED NORTH Owners at Emeryville Track Send a Train of Thirty Cars to Seattle San Francisco Cal June 15 There was a whole ¬ sale exodus of horsemen and horses from the Em ¬ eryville track The big special for Seattle got away late in the afternoon It consisted of twenty eight or thirty ordinary box cars each of which was fitted up to transport six horses with the stable paraphernalia necessary feed etc In addition three regulation express cars left for the northern track earlier in the day Two of these carried the horses of Keenc Brothers and W Cahill Co With them also went the good threeyearold filly Marian Casey and one other belonging to John Lowe LoweCaptain Captain Hackett will give the Butte racing game a trial Yolo and seven other twoyearolds belong ¬ ing to him left for the Montana racing point last evening in charge of Vic Hughes by whom they will be handled Hughes took his own pair Tancred and Byron and Ten Oaks and another belonging to W Ashe AsheT T II Stevens plans to leave for Kentucky with his wife going first to Hot Springs Ark The horses which Stevens still retains are to be turned turned out until fall at B J Baldwins ranch They arc Cloyne Cannot Wimple and Buto all of which with tlie exception of Cloyne have recently been fired With Lisaro Del Cruzador and the oth ¬ ers of the Baldwin string they will be shipped to Santa Anita AnitaStevens Stevens will return to Emeryville in October and will bring a carload of fresh racing material from his Walnut Hill Stock Farm FarmBurner Burner Schreibqi has taken his departure from the coast He went to Cincinnati where he will re ¬ main for a few days to take in the meeting at Latonia Then lie will go to his famous Woodlands stock farm for a brief stay before proceeding to New York While at the farm Schreiber will pick out about a dozen horses which he will send to Butte to be raced at the meeting there The two yearold filly Seattle and a few of the others which he has here will be shipped to Buffalo to be raced at the Kenilworth Park meeting and at its close at the track across the river from Buffalo Fort Erie ErieBecoming Becoming tired of waiting for an express car Ed Trotter shipped Peter Sterling Bye Bye II and the others of his string eleven head in all on the spe ¬ cial yesterday
