KENTUCKYS ANTIPOOLROOM LAW Frankfort Ky June 17 The antiiK olroom bill passed by the legislature this spring became effec ¬ tive lit midnight Monday and many of the attor ¬ neys in this state argue that bookmaking is legalized on race tracks Ky others and by the racing com ¬ mission which will be asked to interpret the law It is held that the bill was passed for the protec ¬ tion of the breeders and race horse owners and not the gamblers So a war on the bookmakers will be Inaugurated if they attempt to put books on in Kentucky again againUnder Under the provisions of the bill any telephone or telegraph company owner of property rented for poolroom purposes a person conducting a pool ¬ room 05 wjprkjng in a poolroom are liable to a line at riot less than 1000 or more than f 5000 and tU months In jail
