SARATOGAS REOPENED LIST OF STAKES STAKESBrandt Brandt Sells the Crack Colt Fitz Herbert to Sam Hildreth and John Madden New York July 3 Entry blanks for the new stakes of the Saratoga Association which close July 13th to be run at the coming meeting of eleven days in August were distributed at Sheeps hcad today by Secretary Earlocker They consist of renewals of some of their old stakes which were declared off and are all fixtures of guaranteed value They are the Saratoga Handicap of one mile and a furlong 1500 the Merchants and Citizens one mile and threesixteenths 1500 the Catskill seven furlongs 1000 and the Bevcr wyck Steeplechase of 1200 1200II II H Brandt today sold his crack Ethelbert two yearold Fritz Herbert to S C Hildreth and J E Madden 10000Maxie for a reported price of 10000 Maxie Witt broke down so badly during the run ¬ ning of the last race that ho had to be removed from the track in a horse ambulance
