CHICAGOAN BUYS YOUNG THOROUGHBREDS Lexington Ky July 17 The first private sale of thoroughbred yearlings reported by a breeder of thor ¬ oughbreds since the passage of the antibetting laws in New York and Louisiana was made by Colonel Milton Young of McGrathiana Stud to K I Well of Chicago today The four 5earllngs bought by Mr Weil will be broken at Hawthorne for which point they were headed tonight They are as fol ¬ lows Bay colt by Woolsthorpe Splendid brown filly halfsister to Boserrian by Woolsthorpe Prin ¬ cess Bowling black colt by Westminster Hand Bell by Hanover bay colt by Inspector B Dictynna Mr Weil campaigned a small string of horses prior to the closing of the Chicago tracks in 1DO5 His purchase at this time is taken here as an indication of confidence in the revival of racing in Chicago next year
