WINDSOR ASSOCIATIONS GOOD MOVE The Windsor folks are to be congratulated on the cessation of work on the merrygoround that Jo ¬ seph James was building beside the Windsor Driv ¬ ing Park where the present meeting is going on Work was stopped because Mr Ilendrie had paid James price for the twelve acres on which the hippodrome was laid out and became the owner of the laud and the charter of the Essex Driving and Athletic Association This closes what promised to be a most undesirable and dangerous development of racing in Ontario The property acquired imme ¬ diately adjoins the Windsor track and is very de ¬ sirable in that respect It will be utilized for the building of a seven furlongs chute additional stab ¬ ling and a handsome clubhouse Another Improve ¬ ment contemplated for next year is the removal of the paddock to the shady grove of great elm trees iast of the grandstand
