CAHFOBHIA WINTER STAKES FINE DISPLAY OF VALUES FOR THE COMING OAKLAND MEETING TwentyOne Events Offered with Added Money MoneyAmounting Amounting to 59500 Stakes Dates Datesand and Conditions San Francisco Cal September 10 The conditions of the stake events of the winter meeting of the New California Jockey Club at Emeryville havo just been announced The meeting begins Novem ¬ ber 7 and will run until late spring Entries to all but the twoyearold stakes will close Odtober 20 while December 14 will bo the closing date for the events for the juvenile division divisionThere There is a substantial increase in the amount of added money offered by the jockey club for the coming season Chief In importance is the Burns Handicap which will be a 10000 added affair In ¬ stead of 10000 guaranteed as in the past It is estimated tliat the event will be worth 14000 to the winner having a total value of about 17000 The Waterhouse Cup Thornton Stakes and California Oaks are among the other fixtures Increased lu value In addition to the stakes there will be over ¬ night handicaps and special races with from 1000 to 2000 added These races will bring out tho best horses in present
