FIRST BENNING MEETING AN EXPERIMENT Washington D C Septemher 22 Arrangements have been made for a combination horse show and racing meeting at tlie Bennings race track from October 12 to 10 The Iiorses will be shown in the mornings and the races for small nurses will take place in tlie afternoons A numlKr of Baltimore gentlemen are promoting the affair It is expected that there will IK some oral betting on the races and if this form of speculation is not interfered with it is1 iirobable that the Washington Jockey Club will arrange to conduct its fall meeting at Bennin on the dates allotted by the Jockey Club
