HILDRETHS POWERFUL BAND OF HORSES Eastern Turf Organization Will Cut Smart Figure in California Racing News and Gossip San Francisco Cal September 2G The stable which S C Hildreth is organizing for his Cali ¬ fornia campaign will be even more formidable than the splendid racing outfit with which he invaded the coast last fall Besides Uncle Meelick Mont ¬ gomery and the other star performers that helped to make him the leading winner in California last winter Hildreth will have this season such cracks as Dandelion King James Peter Quince Besti gouche and Fitz Herbert to rely upon It uponIt Is expected that Hildreth will spend the first part of the season at Oakland and will then proceed to Arcadia as he did last winter His stable will be about equally divided between the two Califor ¬ nia tracks When the weather at Oakland becomes so that training operations are interfered with hia good horses will be taken to the southern course to be conditioned for their stake engagements The Seattle division of the Hildreth stable including uncle Meelick and the good twoyearolds Achieve Force and Instant are now at Kmeryvllle KmeryvllleKxjockcy Kxjockcy Jasper Madison has in training at Val lejo a stable of two and threeyearolds belonging to W II Aycock that will be shipped to Emeryville next week These horses will be raced in the name of the Beckwith Stable StableJockeys Jockeys F Hildebrand C Koerner and Archibald have arrived on the steamer Governor from Seattle Koerner will remain here but the other two boya will go to Los Angeles where the stables of their employers will be raced Archibald is under contract to Garrity Dunlap and Hildebrand is connected with A F Daytons Sierra Nevada Stable Day tons decision to race at Arcadia is in the nature b an innovation as he has been a regular at Emery ¬ ville for years yearsII II T Gritiin has made application for stalls for a consignment of yearlings that he will soon ship out from New York
